meet the teams
Inviting People into Family to Service Swindon. We do it together!
hosting team
Our hosting team and their lovely red t-shirts are the first things you’ll see if you join us on a Sunday morning. If you’re new, go and introduce yourself to them and they’ll help you settle in. Ian, Lynn, A and B are our hosting team leaders. X, Y, Z and Q are our Sunday hosts who make sure the building is behaving when we gather for worship.
rising generations
Children and youth are absolutely core to our church family - we want everyone, of any age, to thrive in their faith and have loads of fun on a Sunday morning. So rising generations is our largest team, providing spaces for everyone aged 0-17 on Sundays and Wednesdays. Em oversees this ministry supported by Tatiana and Sally.
worship and production
You’ll see the worship team up at the front, guitars in hand, and the production team are typically hiding behind the sound desk. They support our ministry on a Sunday morning and create beautiful music and a beautiful space for us to worship. Larissa heads up worship and X heads up production.
clergy team
Joel, Kaf and Jo are our clergy team, pastoring, teaching and leading the church family in worship and discipleship. Joel Sales is our Senior Leader (or ‘incumbent’) and oversees our ministry teams. He loves to tell a story of God’s faithfulness and then also tell you a joke. Kaf Smith is our Associate Minister, heading up operations and governance. She loves to see people thriving in all areas of their life and also quite likes a graph. Jo Winson is our planting curate - she’s training to lead a church plant sometime in the future. She hosts people beautifully and loves to see people taking steps into freedom with Jesus.
serving swindon
We have three Serving Projects:
The Table, helping to connect Ukrainian refugees with community and faith, lead by Maryna
Growbaby, serving families with children aged 0-5 with practical help and relationship, lead by Ellie and Gill
Crosslight Advice, offering free financial advice and debt counselling, lead by Lynn
trustees
Pattern Church is a charity and PLC - Swindon CCRC Trust. Their particular leadership area is around governance and they help us think strategically and do all the things we need to do as a charity who serves a wide range of people.
Our trustees and their particular focuses are: Beth Trendell (chair), Joel Sales (ministry), Kaf Smith (operations), Simba Hakata (treasurer/finance), Paul Woolley (risk), Sadie Tuttle (HR) and Mike Petrie (building)
They’re always happy to hear from you if you’d like to get in touch.
